Language Provision

Language learning opportunities and multilingual education

Language Provision

English and Polish are core languages of instruction, with a third language chosen from Spanish, French, Chinese, or Japanese. The trilingual program runs from nursery to grade 8, with lessons in all three languages in Grades 1–3 and continued through Grades 4–6. In Grades 7–8, students prepare for the eighth-grade exam and international Cambridge exams (Checkpoint, IGCSE) with mentoring.

Bilingual Teaching

Trilingual education is offered from nursery through grade 8. The three languages are English, Polish, and a third language chosen from Spanish, French, Chinese, or Japanese. The OPOL (One Parent One Language) method supports language learning.

Immersion Programs

Language immersion is provided across three languages from the nursery onward through grade 8. English, Polish, and a third language are taught through daily native-speaker instruction using the OPOL method. Native speakers come from over 20 countries, creating a truly multilingual environment.

The International Trilingual School of Warsaw (ITSW) Karowa Campus is located in Warsaw’s historic center, near the Copernicus Science Centre. The school operates a trilingual immersion model where students receive instruction in English, Polish, and a third elective language—French, Spanish, or Chinese. The curriculum integrates the British National Curriculum and the Polish Ministry of Education standards, with certain tracks incorporating American and French educational components. Students rotate through different languages on specific days of the week, learning core subjects like mathematics and science from native speakers in multiple languages. The Karowa facility features dedicated spaces for music and art, utilizing its proximity to the University of Warsaw library gardens for outdoor learning. A unique feature is the "simultaneous trilingualism" program, which ensures children achieve literacy and numeracy in three languages concurrently, rather than learning additional languages as isolated subjects. This approach is supported by a multicultural teaching staff representing over fifteen nationalities.
