The school has operated in Warsaw since 2001. The school operates two nurseries, two preschools, a primary campus and a middle school, enabling learning from early childhood to grade 8 in one cohesive environment. It uses language immersion with OPOL (One Person – One Language) and the Reggio Emilia approach to support independence and creativity. The curriculum blends elements of the American Common Core, the British National Curriculum, the Finnish, French, and Polish core curriculums, and the International Baccalaureate standards (IB PYP and MYP), creating a modern multilingual and global educational environment.
The school has a diverse international community with teachers and specialists from many countries. The school prioritizes multicultural and trilingual education, teaching in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Polish, preparing students for life in a world without borders. The Wellbeing & Student Agency program gives students space to express themselves, participate in a student government, and receive support from a wellbeing coach and specialists. The school fosters an environment where students feel safe, noticed, and valued, contributing to their emotional and social development.
The International Trilingual School of Warsaw (ITSW) Karowa Campus is located in Warsaw’s historic center, near the Copernicus Science Centre. The school operates a trilingual immersion model where students receive instruction in English, Polish, and a third elective language—French, Spanish, or Chinese. The curriculum integrates the British National Curriculum and the Polish Ministry of Education standards, with certain tracks incorporating American and French educational components. Students rotate through different languages on specific days of the week, learning core subjects like mathematics and science from native speakers in multiple languages. The Karowa facility features dedicated spaces for music and art, utilizing its proximity to the University of Warsaw library gardens for outdoor learning. A unique feature is the "simultaneous trilingualism" program, which ensures children achieve literacy and numeracy in three languages concurrently, rather than learning additional languages as isolated subjects. This approach is supported by a multicultural teaching staff representing over fifteen nationalities.
