Facilities Overview

Szczecin International School is a small, friendly school located in the center of Szczecin. Each floor is dedicated to one of three levels: Primary, Middle and Diploma. On level -1 there is a canteen with kitchen facilities and a locker room, where every student has a locker. The building houses 26 classrooms, a laboratory, two computer labs, an art studio and a music room. Specialized laboratories adapt to the educational needs of students at every level, with emphasis on the requirements for the IB Diploma Programme. There is a spacious playground and a sports field for team games, a gym and a cardio-focused fitness room, and sports activities including karate, swimming, ice skating, dance and the girls' volleyball club.

Sports Facilities

Inside the building there is a gym and a modernly equipped fitness room, enabling students to train in strength and endurance in a dedicated cardio area. This setup provides an alternative to regular physical education. As part of sports activities, we offer karate classes, swimming, ice skating lessons and dance classes. There is also training for the girls' volleyball club.

Academic Facilities

Classrooms are adapted to the needs of the students and equipped with modern teaching aids and equipment. The school has specialized laboratories adapted to the educational needs of students at every level, with emphasis on the IB Diploma Programme requirements. There are 26 classrooms, a laboratory, two computer labs, an art studio and a music room. On level -1 there is a canteen with kitchen facilities and a locker room. The SIS Library provides access to nearly 21,000 items, with materials primarily in English and additional items in Polish, German, Danish, Spanish and French, and it is open from 8:30 to 15:30.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Karate classes, swimming, ice skating lessons, dance classes and trainings for the girls' volleyball club.

Szczecin International School is an IB World School serving students aged 3 to 18, offering the full IB continuum from Primary Years Programme (PYP) through Middle Years Programme (MYP) to the Diploma Programme (DP). English is the language of instruction in most subjects, with Polish, German, English and Danish taught as additional languages, supporting multilingual competence and global awareness. Established in 2002 in connection with the NATO Corps, the school has grown to occupy a building in Szczecin's city centre and to expand its IB accreditation across all levels (DP 2005; PYP and MYP authorised in 2021). The campus features 26 classrooms, level sections for each programme, a laboratory, two computer labs, an art studio, a music room and a well-stocked library of around 21,000 items. Students engage in inquiry-based learning, personal projects, and international initiatives such as Model United Nations, with an emphasis on community service and character development.
