The MIT-Nord Anglia STEAM programme develops creativity and problem-solving through interdisciplinary challenges. Students participate in Model United Nations debates, engaging with global issues and collaborative discussion. The school offers more than 150 extracurricular activities to enrich academic learning beyond the classroom. Our world-class collaborations with MIT, Juilliard and UNICEF provide opportunities to access advanced academic experiences across STEAM, arts and global learning.
Music, dance and drama are enriched by a Juilliard collaboration, with a Juilliard-designed music curriculum that teaches listening, composition and interpretation. Dance and drama programmes, also enhanced by Juilliard, explore works across cultures and emotions and develop performance skills. The Creativity and STEAM approach cross-trains learners across science, technology, engineering, arts and maths to foster innovation. Outdoor learning spaces, including a community garden, support experiential creativity and wellbeing.
From Year 4, all students can choose between French, German and Spanish. Polish is an integral part of the academic programme; from Year 2 through Year 11 native Polish students follow the Polish curriculum, while non-native students learn Polish as an additional language from Year 1. An English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme supports newcomers to acquire English.
Physical Education is embedded in every student's schedule, with a broad extracurricular sports offering including football, volleyball, basketball, T-ball and fencing. Facilities include an outdoor Astro turf pitch, three gymnasiums, an outdoor urban gym, a 60m sprint straight and a multi-use field. Music, dance and drama are part of the extracurricular life, with Juilliard-led programs complementing performance arts. Green Camps, local and national trips, and the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award provide opportunities for outdoor learning, leadership and personal growth.
The school runs community outreach initiatives, including the Share a Dream programme that teaches social responsibility through fundraising and volunteering. When studying for the IB Diploma Programme, students undertake Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) to engage with the local community and develop real-world skills. TBS Warsaw collaborates with local charities such as Warsaw Voluntary Mission, Bread for Life and Recipe for Independence to support worthwhile causes.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award challenges students to design their own programme of activities and set ambitious goals. Students act as ambassadors, with opportunities to participate in UNICEF Summit workshops and Nord Anglia Global Challenges, potentially presenting at forums like the UN High-Level Political Forum. The IMG Academy collaboration provides a sports and wellbeing programme and professional development for teachers, fostering leadership and performance in both students and staff.
Student health and happiness are core to the school's approach, supported by a dedicated pastoral and safeguarding team. From Year 7, PSHE lessons cover topics such as finance, mindfulness, healthy living and global citizenship, with Global Campus providing wellbeing resources across Nord Anglia peers. The school's social purpose and community work underpin wellbeing, encouraging social responsibility and resilience through planned initiatives.
