Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Established in 1992 by Iwona Thomas, The British School Warsaw was the first private Nord Anglia school in Poland. It opened with 35 students whose parents sought an English-language British education. The school has grown into a thriving international community and has been IB-accredited for over 20 years. It is dedicated to nurturing students to become ambitious, empowered, and successful leaders.

Community

The school fosters a vibrant international community that values wellbeing, social responsibility, and cultural awareness. Through Nord Anglia's Global Campus, students connect with peers worldwide and participate in regional events that broaden perspectives. Learning is enriched by collaborations with MIT and Juilliard as part of Nord Anglia's partnerships. Model United Nations and UNICEF partnerships form part of the school's social purpose, developing globally minded changemakers.

Parent-Teacher Association

TBS Warsaw's Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) is instrumental in welcoming new families into our warm and friendly school environment and helping them settle into life in Warsaw. International representatives and parent buddies ensure everyone stays connected to the community.
