It serves children aged 3 to 12, with preschool, a preschool class, and grades 1–6, small class sizes, and close contact among students, families, and teachers. Instruction is Swedish and follows the Swedish curriculum Lgr22 for preschool through grade 6; the timetable mirrors the Swedish schedule but adds extensions in Portuguese, physical education, and crafts. Specialized teachers cover music, art, crafts, home economics, Portuguese, and physical education. The school is one of the oldest Swedish schools abroad and operates as a member association, encouraging parental involvement, swift decision‑making, and open communication. The after‑school program Fritidsverksamhet supports social‑emotional development with activities such as baking, painting, drawing, sewing, gardening, and swimming when weather allows. The Nordic community includes Norwegian, Danish, and Finnish families, creating a Nordic environment and a focus on individuality and safety.
