The Lisboan is a British international school in the heart of Lisbon. It opened in September 2025 and is currently open from FS1 to Year 10, following the Cambridge International Curriculum and progressing to Cambridge IGCSEs; from 2027 it will offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The school is a member of COBIS and will work towards CIS and WASC accreditation, and is part of Artemis Education. The Lisboan's building is a former pasta and flour factory dating back to 1908; the factory was acquired in 1926 by the Industrial Company of Portugal and Colonies and remained operational until 1970, and has since been renovated into a 21st-century learning space. The Lisboan is located in Alcântara, Lisbon, at the centre of a dynamic community, and it uses a City as Our Classroom approach to connect learning with Lisbon's culture and community, with a carbon-neutral education design that harnesses solar energy and aims to keep energy use low.
