The safeguarding policy underpins school culture, providing a secure and trusted environment where children can participate freely and grow in confidence. Our staff offer guidance and support, fostering physical safety as well as emotional resilience and social-emotional learning through mentorship and open conversations. The Lisboan International School is a British international school in central Lisbon. Opened in September 2025, it currently serves students from FS1 to Year 10, following the Cambridge International Curriculum and progressing to Cambridge IGCSE examinations at the end of Year 11. From 2027 it will offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The school occupies a historic building in Alcântara that has been renovated into flexible, innovative learning spaces powered by solar energy and designed for low energy use. The City as Our Classroom approach links learning to Lisbon's culture and community, fostering curiosity, confidence and global citizenship. The Artemis Education network supports the school, alongside COBIS membership and ongoing accreditation work toward CIS and WASC. A strong emphasis on outdoor education and sport is supported by partnerships with Atlético CP, Monsanto Forest Park and Escala25, while music and arts flourish through collaboration with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, inspiring education.
