Al Maha Academy for Boys (AMAB) is part of the Ta'allum Group, which operates three academies in Doha: AMAB's Infant, Junior and Secondary campuses, each led by its head. AMAB was established in 1999, and a purpose-built multimillion-dollar facility opened in 2012. It grew from a small site housing just over 50 students to educate around 1,000+ in the primary and about 500+ in the secondary, within a larger combined community. The British National Curriculum is taught alongside Qatari Ministry subjects such as Islamic Studies, Arabic and Qatar History. AMAB holds a five-year accreditation from the Qatar National School Accreditation (QNSA) and is also accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
AMAB presents itself as a caring community guided by Islamic values and a commitment to nurturing 21st-century learners. Student life includes clubs and sports, leadership opportunities, and cultural events that foster belonging and personal growth. Facilities are showcased through a Campus 360° Virtual Tour, and the Tarbeya Center is part of the campus life. The school has publicly celebrated achievements such as the Qatar Excellence in Education Award 2025–2026.
Ta'allum Group runs a Parents' Committee Council (PCC) that includes parents from its schools, including AMAB. The PCC provides a structure for parents to work with school leadership and may advise the Principal and the Board of Management on school matters. The PCC promotes parental involvement and consults with the school's Senior Leader (PCSL), who is the Vice Principal/Principal, and bi-annually with representatives from the Board of Management. The PCC aims to assist in furthering the School's mission, objectives and learner outcomes, to inform and consult parents regarding policy and plans, and to communicate parents' views. It is part of the wider Ta'allum Group Parents' Committee, and may participate in joint initiatives with other Ta'allum Schools Parents' Committees. The PCC meets once per month, and a Suggestion Form is available for parents to submit ideas.
