SEL is supported through AMAB's pastoral team, Makarem values lessons across KS2–KS3, and the Instilling Values programme delivered in tutor time and assemblies; counselling and holistic behaviour support are provided via Tarbeya Counselling Programmes, with individual or group interventions for students in need; the school's approach emphasises a safe, bully-free environment with a focus on support before sanctions.
AMAB has a Learning Support Department and a designated SEN structure, including a SENCO/Head of SEN, with staff such as a School Counsellor and Deputy Safeguarding Leads supporting learners; the Student Behaviour Policy notes support for students with learning and/or behavioural needs, including Tarbeya counselling as part of the provision.
