Uniform is worn to school every day and is compulsory. Pupils wear a full uniform. The official uniform supplier is Spot Uniform.
The canteen provides healthy hot lunches with flexible payment options. The school also has two grab-and-go stations for quick snacks and meals, plus a coffee shop for light bites and refreshments. Fitlicious Catering provides hot and cold meal options; parents can pre-order meals online or students may bring a packed lunch; older girls can use the Grab and Go facility while primary students eat in the canteen.
Girls enter a house on arrival and remain in their house throughout their time at the school. The house system includes buddy mentoring and termly House competitions across arts, sports, cooking and drama. Durham Merits are awarded in upper KS2 and KS3 for individual achievements.
The school is part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP) network. Durham School for Girls Doha joined ISP in January 2025, confirming ISP governance affiliation. The school's ISP affiliation is highlighted on its site and in ISP announcements.
