Qatar Academy Al Khor is an IB World School delivering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). The school serves students from Preschool through Grade 12 in a co-educational setting. English is the language of instruction in all disciplines; Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History are taught in Arabic. Most students graduate with an IB Diploma or through IB Courses to receive Ministry of Education accreditation.
The campus features five art studios and four music and drama classrooms. In Primary, Art is integrated into the Unit of Enquiry and is taught in both Arabic and English. In the Early Education Center, Music and Physical Education are part of the dual-language program.
English is the language of instruction across disciplines, with Arabic used for Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History. Preschool to Grade 5 use a bilingual Primary Language of Arabic and English; Grades 6 to 12 use English as the language of instruction. The school operates as an IB World School with emphasis on intercultural understanding and respect.
The campus includes a recreation center and sports facilities: a soccer pitch, basketball and volleyball courts, two gymnasiums, and a swimming pool. The campus comprises nine buildings with 137 classrooms, 12 laboratories, five art studios, and four music/drama classrooms.
