Qatar Academy Al Khor

Qatar Academy Al Khor started classes on September 7, 2008 for Kindergarten 1 and 2 and Grades 1–4. Growth was planned at one grade level per year to reach Grade 12, a milestone achieved in 2016 when the school moved to a new campus in Al Khor. It is a full IB World School with a predominantly Qatari student body and a strong emphasis on bilingual education in English and Arabic. The school operates within the Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education network, integrating an international curriculum with Qatar's heritage and culture to develop local human capital.

Qatar Academy Al Khor's community includes students, families, staff, and partner institutions within the Qatar Foundation network. It hosts and participates in events that promote active living and culture, such as National Sports Day activities and the QAK recreation facility Open House, which provides pools, gyms, and outdoor courts for families and the wider community. The school also supports arts and cultural opportunities, including student art exhibitions that showcase work beyond the classroom.

The school maintains a Parents section that provides an annual report, pre-university newsletters, a Parents' Voice platform, and an annual calendar, indicating an organized channel for parent involvement in school life. These resources support ongoing communication between families and school leadership and facilitate volunteer engagement and collaborative activities. The PTA or equivalent parent coordination arrangements participate in planning and facilitating family involvement and fundraising activities. In 2025, Qatar Academy Al Khor organized a charity run in collaboration with Seashore Group as part of National Sports Day preparations, reflecting active family and community participation. The school also hosts arts events such as a Grade 12 art exhibition in collaboration with Agora Hotel.
