History

Qatar Academy Al Wakra was founded to serve the needs of the Al Wakra coastal community. It is part of the Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education and operates as a non-profit, co-educational international school. The school offers a broad international educational program and serves students from preschool through Grade 12. A new girls' building for Grades 6–11 was announced for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Community

Qatar Academy Al Wakra is accredited by NEASC, CIS, and IB World, with Duke of Edinburgh as a partner. It is listed as a satellite facility of Education City under the Qatar Foundation network.
