Qatar Academy Doha is located in Education City, on Al Luqta Street, Doha, Qatar. It sits within the Qatar Foundation Education City campus, a hub of universities, research centers, and cultural facilities. The campus is connected to Education City's transport network via the Education City Tram and campus shuttle services, with Doha Metro access nearby.

Qatar Academy Doha offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the Primary School, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in the Middle School, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in the Senior School. The IBDP operates under the umbrella of Qatar Academy High School, which includes three affiliated schools: Qatar Academy Doha (Grades 11-12), Qatar Academy Sidra (Grades 11-12) and Qatar Academy of Science and Technology (Grades 9-12).

The school uses a Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) in the Primary School to identify and support needs across academics, speech and language, motor skills, and social-emotional development. The Student Services team coordinates consultative accommodations and provides comprehensive evaluations and interventions by specialists, including psychologists, speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists. An Individual Education Plan (IEP) is used where appropriate.

There is no formal religious affiliation. Islamic studies and Qatar history are taught in Arabic as part of the curriculum, but the school is not affiliated with a particular religion.

School hours are roughly 7:00 am to 12:00 noon for EEC/Preschool, 7:00 am to 1:50 pm for Primary (Tuesday finishing at 1:00 pm), and 7:00 am to 2:15 pm for Senior School (Tuesday finishing at 12:30 pm). The school operates Sunday to Thursday.

- Qatar Academy Msheireb operates as a day school for early years/primary levels (PS3 to Grade 5); no boarding fees apply because boarding is not offered for these year groups.
