Qatar Academy Doha uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) in Primary to promote social-emotional development and well-being, led by a Student Services Coordinator and a team including two School Counsellors, a School Psychologist, Speech and Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists, with Counsellors delivering social-emotional learning through whole-class, small-group, and individual sessions.
SEN is delivered through MTSS with specialists in learning difficulties and gifted education, including a School Psychologist, Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Learning Specialists, supported by a dedicated Student Services team.
EAL support is integrated within the MTSS/Student Services framework, with learning support in English and Arabic and a high share of English Language Learners (over 80%).
Mental wellbeing is supported by a visible Counselling team providing social-emotional skill-building and open-door access for students and families.
Safeguarding and child protection are underpinned by robust arrangements and Safer Recruitment, with counselling staff available to support students.
