Qatar Academy Msheireb was established in 2014 as part of Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education. It opened as a state-of-the-art Early Years and Primary School serving PS3 to Grade 5 with a dual-language program in English and Arabic. The Msheireb campus was completed in 2015 to support inquiry-based, globally minded learning. Qatar Academy Msheireb is an IB Primary Years Programme authorized and Council of International Schools accredited. The school operates as a nonprofit, co-educational international school under Qatar Foundation Pre-University Education.
Qatar Academy Msheireb serves Pre-3 to Grade 5, with about 400 students, reflecting a diverse national and international community. The school maintains an active community life through events and cultural activities throughout the year, including a 10th anniversary celebration in 2024 featuring student artworks. Environmental and sustainability initiatives are part of the program, such as the Liquid 3 Tree Project launched in 2025 in partnership with Msheireb Properties. Across Qatar Foundation schools, events promoting social awareness have included Palestine solidarity activities in 2023, with QAM participating.
The Qatar Academy Msheireb Parent-Teacher Association (QAM PTA) is a formal partnership between parents and staff. It aims to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of students by providing a forum for parents to gain a deeper understanding of the school and to share perspectives. Throughout the year the PTA hosts a range of social events and activities to strengthen home-school partnerships and deepen belonging for all members of the school community. In October 2024, the PTA collaborated with the school to celebrate World Teachers' Day, organizing activities, tokens of appreciation, and messages to teachers. The PTA also supports broader school initiatives, including teacher appreciation efforts and information sessions that help families stay engaged. PTA involvement is integrated into the school's overall community life.
