Dream International School was established in 2013 in Riyadh with 65 students and 10 employees. In 2014, facilities were expanded to place the kindergarten in a separate building and the elementary and intermediate stages in another, increasing classrooms to 26 and adding dedicated labs and a library. The campus later added a computer lab, science lab, English language lab, robotics lab, and a library, along with three playgrounds. By 2024, the school welcomed over 600 students. Dream International School operates as part of the privately held Dream International Schools Company, which was founded in 2013.
Dream International School maintains an active calendar of events and student-led activities. World Children's Day (November 21, 2024) promoted children's rights and well-being, with student involvement. Arabic Day was celebrated on December 15–18, 2024, featuring Arabic-language activities, art, and speeches. Saudi National Day was observed with a range of cultural and educational activities.
A formal Parent Teacher Association is not publicly documented on Dream International School's public pages. Public engagement is described through direct school leadership communications and invitations for parent input. A Principal's Speech to Parents thanks families and invites questions, suggestions, and comments. The school emphasizes partnerships with families as part of its educational approach. Public events such as a Book Fair (October 2024) and cultural celebrations demonstrate family and community involvement. The Students' Council focuses on student dialogue and leadership, providing another avenue for student involvement alongside family engagement.
