Jeddah Knowledge International School (JKS) was established in 1996 as a private Saudi school in Jeddah. It was the first private Saudi school in Jeddah to receive permission to offer international programs for Saudis. JKS is the first IB Continuum School in the Kingdom, authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Upon graduation, students may receive either the American Diploma or the IB Diploma.
The school community includes students, parents, and faculty representing 24 nationalities. The school sustains an active program of community events, including the Annual JKS Exhibition, a school-wide showcase that highlights student work across arts, product design, robotics, and more with parent participation. Open House events are held to welcome families and introduce them to staff and the school program. Public communications also reflect ongoing parent involvement through Parent-Teacher Conferences and related updates in school newsletters.
A formal, standalone PTA is not publicly listed in JKS materials. Public information shows parent engagement through events and structured meetings such as Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTCs) and the annual School Exhibition, which involves both students and parents. The school hosts regular exhibitions that invite parent attendance to view student projects across disciplines. Open House events provide opportunities for parents to meet teachers and administrators. Parent participation is further evident in newsletters that report on PYP/MYP/DP-related events and conferences, including the Parent-Teacher Conference held on November 8, 2025, and other family-focused activities such as Hadith Memorization Competitions and Arabic Language Day celebrations.
