MLS International School was established in Riyadh to provide an international education from toddlers to Grade 11, with the first graduating class planned for 2026. The school emphasizes a quadrilingual program (English, Arabic, French, Mandarin) and social-emotional learning through Conscious Discipline from its early development. It has pursued international accreditation and recognition, earning Cognia accreditation and membership in the Council of International Schools, and it became an IB World School in March 2025. The school also marks milestones such as being the first Saudi school to participate in Young Voices in London with 11 students, reflecting its commitment to global engagement while preserving Saudi cultural values.
MLS serves a diverse community with students from over 30 nationalities. The school describes its community as a family and uses house teams, Arabic enrichment, arts, service learning, and national celebrations to build a diverse, nurturing, and purpose-driven community. It hosts events such as MLS Family Picnic & BBQ, Lavender Awareness Campaign, and Language & Literacy Week Open House featuring the Book Character Parade and Book Drive, drawing active participation from families.
During Language & Literacy Week, the PTA organizes a Book Drive that collects books for home libraries and supports reading programs, highlighted at the Language & Literacy Day Open House. The Week's events also feature a Book Character Fashion Show and a French Embassy table, with the PTA Book Drive emphasized as a key activity. The Lavender Awareness Day included a PTA Lavender Bake Sale, with proceeds supporting community causes and strengthening parent involvement. PTA volunteers participate in book-related activities and other community events, aligning parent participation with school programs. Families actively support these initiatives and volunteering roles, including participation in events such as the Book Character Parade & Fashion Show. The school's literacy and community events routinely showcase PTA-led engagement and collaboration with teachers, including open-house activities and partner tables.
