Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Pakistan International School Jeddah English Section (PISJ-ES) was established in 1995 as an independent Cambridge-affiliated campus of Pakistan International School Jeddah, operating under the patronage of the Pakistan Embassy in Saudi Arabia. It functions from a campus in Al-Rehab District, Jeddah, with its own administration separate from the main PISJ, and offers Cambridge programmes including IGCSE and A Levels. The main Pakistan International School Jeddah has roots dating to the late 1950s in Baghdadiya, and a new building opened in 1984 in Al Aziziyah. The Cambridge alignment is reflected in its international recognition and awards, including Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards associated with the school. The English Section's address is Building No. 5139, Street Dakhna, Al Rehab District, Jeddah.

Community

The school maintains a vibrant student community with a House System that promotes teamwork and leadership, complemented by a prefect system. Students participate in a range of clubs and activities, including PISJ-ES Clubs and initiatives such as IX PISJ-ES MUN. Notable on-campus events include Glittering Gems Show, English/Urdu Bilingual Declamation Contests, and the Science & Arts Exhibition, as well as the PISJ–ES U19 Cricket Team achievements. National and cross-cultural events, like Kashmir Solidarity Day, are observed as part of the school calendar, reflecting its broader cultural engagement.

Parent-Teacher Association

The school facilitates parent involvement through a formal School Management Council (SMC), which includes parent representatives and is chaired by Mr. Bilal Saeed Ahmed. The SMC roster lists six members and provides a direct channel for parent input via smc@pisjes.edu.sa. Parents can also engage through the PISJ-ES Parent Engagement Platform, which offers webinars and a Parent Principal Conference. The school maintains a Parent Portal for ongoing communication, along with a dedicated query portal and user guides to support parent interactions. Overall, these structures create a structured, ongoing avenue for parent participation and dialogue with the school administration.
