Branksome Hall Asia was founded in 2012 on Jeju Island as the Jeju campus of Branksome Hall, the Toronto-based sister school. It is an independent institution with its own Principal and Board of Governors, while adopting the vision and mission of Branksome Hall Canada. It is located in Jeju's Global Education City and offers the International Baccalaureate program from JK Prep to Grade 12. In 2023, Branksome Hall Asia began admitting male students to Grades 6–7, marking a move toward co-education. The first Branksome Hall Asia alumni class graduated in 2015.
Branksome Hall Asia's community includes faculty, parents, and students, with partnerships with parents and alumni as core to school life. Student life features a house (clan) system, CASE (Creativity, Action, Service, Enrichment) activities, and leadership opportunities from Junior School through Grade 12 Prefect roles, including a Head Girl. Boarding life strengthens community through a 1:10 family structure, a Boarding Council, and regular off-campus trips. The school hosts and participates in events such as the National Geographic Explorer Spotlight Asia on campus in 2022.
The Parent Association (PA) collaborates closely with Branksome Hall Asia to support its mission, vision, and purpose. It provides feedback on student life, communicates with the parent community, supports parent education on the IB program, and helps safeguard and enhance the school's public image while promoting good citizenship. Friends of Branksome (FOB) is a parent volunteer group that supports the school shop, contributes to special events, and enhances school spirit. FOB volunteers participate in events and initiatives that engage families and strengthen community ties. The alumni network remains connected and engaged with current students and school life, complementing PA and FOB activities.
