DIS runs an extensive after-school activity (ASA) program for students in grades 1 through 12, with registration each trimester and offerings that change by season based on feedback. The program blends athletic, academic, cultural, artistic, and social activities to help students grow as global citizens and work effectively in teams. Academic and intellectual options include peer tutoring and a variety of lunch clubs. DIS hosts Model United Nations conferences (MUN) and DIS students have earned recognition at the SKAIS STEM Fair.
Arts programs encompass media, music, and visual arts, with dedicated content in the Arts section of the site. An active Visual Arts Club is listed among the extracurricular offerings. The school hosts annual arts events, including a spring Fine Arts Festival, and there is ongoing engagement with arts through the Media, Music, and Visual Arts tracks.
Sign Language Club is part of the after-school offerings at DIS. Model United Nations events and international exchanges contribute to cultural awareness and global understanding. The Arts sections (Media, Music, Visual Arts) support cultural education alongside performing and visual arts.
Clubs that foster social interaction and personal interests include Club Nintendo, ES Hockey Club, Peer Tutoring Club, Rummikub Club, Sign Language Club, and Visual Arts Club. Lunch Clubs offer informal, everyday opportunities for students to engage with peers. These clubs provide avenues to pursue hobbies and social connections beyond academics.
Participation in SKAIS MUN develops leadership, public speaking, and teamwork skills. The Peer Tutoring Club provides mentoring opportunities for students to support peers. The Activities Director oversees after-school activities and ASA policies to maintain program quality.
The athletics program operates in fall, winter, and spring with ES Futsal, MS Futsal, HS Volleyball, MS/HS Cross Country, ES Cross Country, and more. In winter, ES Volleyball, MS Volleyball, and HS Basketball are active, with practices typically held in the DIS Jetnasium. Fall, winter, and spring seasons provide structured opportunities for fitness and competitive sports.
