Secondary club activities are co-curricular and aligned with GIS's mission. Student Council and Yearbook teams provide leadership and opportunities to work on projects. Clu bs focus on investing knowledge, supporting the local community, and mindfulness and life balance. Co-curricular activities are designed to be fun, purposeful, and meaningful.
The school has specialty programs in Art and Music led by experienced teachers. Art is taught by Bea Park, who trained at the Rhode Island School of Design. Music is taught by Sharon Shin, who trained at Juilliard and Columbia. The Specialty Team also includes Spanish and ESL, and a Physical Education program.
Spanish and ESL are offered as part of the Specialty Team. Spanish/ESL instruction is provided by Jeniffer Carrion. These programs are part of the school's specialty offerings.
