The school's ethos and curriculum are modelled on NLCS London, and the IB Diploma Programme has been offered since 2011. It operates within Jeju Global Education City (GEC), a development led by the Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC); JEINS, a JDC subsidiary, currently operates NLCS Jeju along with two other international schools within the GEC. The school is governed by a six‑member Governing Body drawn from the UK, Korea and the USA, which provides strategic oversight. The NLCS Jeju campus is located in Seogwipo, Jeju‑do.
NLCS Jeju runs a range of annual events that bring the community together, including Arts Festival 2024, University Destinations 2024, and the Class of 2024 Valedictory. The campus hosts exchanges and international events such as the Exchange Trip – NLCS Singapore and GECMUN X, reflecting its global outlook. Parents participate through a dedicated Parent Liaison Team and the independent Parent Representative Group (PRG), with regular termly meetings between the PRG and the Principal and Senior Team. There is a Chinese Community contact within the Parent Liaison Team to support Chinese‑speaking families.
The school's parent engagement is coordinated through the Parent Liaison Team, which provides a point of contact for ideas, social activities, and community building. Junior and Senior School parent contacts are jsparents@nlcsjeju.kr and ssparents@nlcsjeju.kr, and there is a dedicated Chinese Community contact at Chineseparents@nlcsjeju.kr. The team invites parental support for bazaars, fetes, fairs, and performances. The Parent Representative Group (PRG) is an independent, voluntary organisation formed to facilitate communication between school and parents and is coordinated and managed by the parents themselves. There are regular termly PRG meetings with the Principal and Senior Team to discuss concerns and developments. The PRG elects an executive committee each year, with current leaders including the PRG Chair, PRG Vice Chair, and year‑group chairs for JS, FS, LS, CPC and SS.
