Agora Madrid International School was founded in 1981 by a group of families and education professionals to address the educational challenges of the time. In 2006 Agora Madrid International School joined Globeducate, a network of more than 55 schools. In 2015 it became an IB World School, enabling the IB Diploma Programme for senior students. It teaches all stages from Preschool to Baccalaureate, including the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate, and is an official music conservatory with a pioneering IB-based arts offering.
International events are an essential part of Globeducate. Pupils from 50 nationalities interact with students from other countries, improving language skills and understanding other perspectives. Notable events include the Globeducate Olympics, International Music Week and the Globeducate Model United Nations. Agora Madrid fosters family involvement through the International Family Council, a platform for international families to become more actively involved with the school, and has hosted Meet & Greet events to strengthen integration and community.
The International Family Council (IFC) is a platform through which international families become more actively involved with Agora Madrid International School. The IFC provides a space for sharing ideas, perspectives and collaboration on the school's ongoing improvement. To join, families email international.families@agoraism.com and may also join a WhatsApp group for quick communication. The IFC has hosted Meet & Greet events to strengthen integration, coexistence and the international community at Agora Madrid.
Agora Madrid International School is a private international school in Spain offering an IB continuum from early childhood to pre‑university. It delivers Preschool through the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) as part of its IB World School status. The school provides an individualized, international and multilingual education from age 4 months to university. The educational project rests on five elements: the International Baccalaureate as a model for the future, multilingualism, STEAM, sport and well‑being, and shaping the world. In Primary Education bilingualism is central; most subjects are taught in English, with Spanish Language and Mathematics taught in Spanish. After compulsory Secondary Education, students may choose the Spanish National Baccalaureate or the IB Diploma Programme.
