Since its opening, Agora Princess Margaret International School has been known for its high standards and excellent academic preparation. It began as an English-language school at a time when French was predominantly studied; Mrs. Gaos and Mrs. Ruhí reckoned on an international scenario and English became the heart of the language project from day one. Since 1967, the school has provided quality education and commitment; in 2000 Agora Princess Margaret International School consolidated a project by enlarging its facilities, adapting to new technologies, and including the academic period of Secondary School as part of its programme, thus extending the coverage of academic stages. Today Agora Princess Margaret International School is a leading international school in Barcelona, located in the Horta-Guinardó neighbourhood, with a family-oriented approach and a proactive spirit that has allowed it to incorporate experience and teaching knowledge at the service of its pupils.
Shared experiences are a central part of school life, with projects undertaken away from the classroom that help students get to know themselves, their peers and educators better. Examples include Ski Week for students in upper Primary to early Secondary, the Madrid trip to explore cultural heritage, and the end-of-year trip to a European city. The program also includes an Emotional Education Camp at La Granja and stays abroad to practice English and build group commitment. These experiences promote learning beyond the classroom and foster collaboration and personal growth.
Agora Princess Margaret International School is an IB World School in Barcelona offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The Diploma Programme is planned for the future, with facilities to support its expansion. The school provides a multilingual context with English, Spanish and Catalan, and English immersion from the earliest years to support multilingual learning. Opened in 1967, it has a long history of rigorous academic preparation and currently operates from Infant Education to Secondary Education in the Horta-Guinardó district. The campus features ICT-enabled classrooms, digital boards, tablets and netbooks, plus specialist rooms for psychomotricity, music, psychopedagogy and science laboratories for Technology and Robotics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Outdoor facilities include two multi-purpose courts and an outdoor swimming pool (May–September). Extracurriculars span music, sport, languages and robotics, with strong emphasis on languages (English, French, Chinese) and opportunities for global exchanges and events, for prospective families.
