The cafeteria offers a Mediterranean-diet-based lunch menu designed by experienced dieticians. The program sources ingredients locally from ecological-certified and fair-trade suppliers. High-sugar drinks and fried foods are eliminated or reduced to promote healthier options.
ASM is a not-for-profit organization established in 1961. It is governed by a diverse, self-perpetuating Board of Trustees.
American School of Madrid is a not-for-profit private international day school in Pozuelo de Alarcón serving ages 3 to 18. It offers the American curriculum alongside the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Upper School, with pathways to the US High School Diploma, the IB Diploma, and the Título de Bachillerato. The campus spans 11 acres and includes a zero-energy Middle School building opened in 2021 and the Don Quijote Park Play Landscape added in 2023 as part of the Lower School. The Center for the Arts houses a 600-seat auditorium, dedicated spaces for art, music and drama, and a Black Box Theatre. The Upper School features a Learning Commons, a cafeteria, an Athletics Complex and a Center for the Sciences, plus the Innovation, Design, and Education Hub with a Robotics lab and Da Vinci Space. Outdoor facilities include an all-weather track, turf soccer field, the ASM garden and multiple fields.
