Home of the Bears introduces a Bear House system with four Bear Houses—Grizzly, Polar, Black and Kodiak—led by Tommy the Bear, the school mascot. Students from all grades compete in house-based sports days and trivia, and earn points for good conduct in the cafeteria, fostering camaraderie and belonging within the school community. The school hosts and participates in events such as University Fair, Senior Graduation, St. Patrick & St. Joseph Mass for Lower & Middle School, and Family Gathering as part of its community calendar.
Aquinas American School is a Catholic, co‑educational institution in Madrid with two Pozuelo de Alarcón campuses serving ages 3–18 and a residence in Alcorcón for boarding. The high school offers both the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) and the American High School Diploma (AHSD), with SAT testing and UNED coursework to support college admissions in Spain and abroad. The curriculum emphasizes languages, liberal arts and sciences, and the development of analytical, creative and communication skills, guided by a College Counselor who helps with transcripts and admissions timelines. The Bear House system assigns every student to a Bear House to foster belonging while enabling sport and recreational competition across campuses. Extracurriculars include theatre, Mad Lab, French, cinema and journalism; an Entrepreneurship Program for grades 10–12 featuring mentors and a Shark Tank–style pitch; and an Arts and Music Program with a Virtual Art Gallery. University Fair and 100 hours of community service further enrich the student experience.
