Brains Institution was founded 45 years ago by Manuel Sánchez and María Hita. The Sánchez Hita family, founders of the Brains group, describe the origins of the Institution and its future plans to maintain Brains as a benchmark in international education. In Las Palmas, students in Maternal and Primary receive an international multilingual education, with permanency assured for all students in Brains International School Telde.
Brains Las Palmas runs a broad extracurricular program including Basketball Club, Chess, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Pequechefs, Drama Class and Judo Academy. Brains Camps and Summer Camp offer a range of activities, including trips and camp-based programs around the year. The campus features a Reading Plan with class libraries and weekly activities for reading comprehension and creativity, and has a library, music room, gym, sensory development room, a school garden and age-appropriate playgrounds.
Brains International School Las Palmas is a private bilingual school for ages 1–12 offering a Spanish curriculum with Advanced Placement options. It provides an international, multilingual program for Nursery, Infants and Primary, with continuity to Secondary and Baccalaureate at Brains Telde. Infants education focuses on language development, motor skills, hygiene, social skills and English fluency. Primary education develops oral and written comprehension in Spanish and English, and emphasizes study habits, technology use and daily sport. The campus comprises two buildings (Infants and Primary), playgrounds, gym and rooftop PE terrace, plus library and school garden; specialised spaces include psychomotricity room and music room.
