Uniform Requirement

The school uniform is compulsory for all students, except Sixth Form, and there is a formal dress code. The uniform can be purchased online through the provider and delivered to the school or to the home address.

Food Options

School lunches are provided for all students and prepared in the school kitchen by specialist staff. The menus follow a Mediterranean diet with vegetables, fruits, grains and fish, planned monthly by a certified nutritionist using fresh seasonal ingredients; special diets can be catered for and parents receive the monthly menu.

British College La Cañada is an independent British School in Valencia. It is owned and administered by Ana Ramírez Sandoval, with Rosario Palau Domenech as Principal. The school is recognised by the UK Department of Education and the Spanish Ministry of Education and holds ISI – BSO accreditation.

British College La Cañada is an independent British school in Valencia that welcomes students from age 2 to 18. The school follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales with Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A Levels, and BTEC qualifications, alongside Spanish language and culture. English is the vehicle language, and the curriculum is complemented by formal equivalence with the Spanish system, ensuring progression for university entry worldwide. The campus comprises modern, independent buildings and over 8,000 square meters of sports facilities, plus a Library, a Creativity Center, a Theatre, a Gym, an Art Gallery, Music classrooms, and dedicated spaces for Art and Drama. In 2025, an Early Years building expansion began. The school offers extracurriculars, including Creative and Magic Workshops, language clubs in French and German, and performing arts programs such as Dance, Musicals, and Trinity Rock & Pop. Sixth Form provides double certification in British A-Levels and the Spanish Baccalaureate.
