The British Council School Madrid is non-selective and provides a bilingual and bicultural education based on the English National Curriculum. There are no admissions tests for Early Years. Most pupils begin at age three and stay with us, and we admit new pupils across all year groups; places are offered according to availability and our assessment of whether potential pupils can fully integrate with the rest of their class. From Year 2, future pupils must also take the corresponding entrance tests. From Year 3 onwards, applicants complete an online CAT4 cognitive abilities test and an English written assessment, with a non-refundable 30€ admissions assessment fee. The admissions process consists of five steps: Visit (booking is essential), Application for Admission, Admissions Committee decision (1–3 weeks after completing the process), Reservation (bank transfer of the amount indicated for the year), and Next Steps (information sessions and familiarisation with the course, teachers and the school community). The school's timetable includes English and Spanish language instruction, with approximately 20% of the weekly timetable devoted to Spanish Language and Culture. At the end of Secondary Education (Year 11) the school applies for homologation of studies so that pupils obtain the Spanish Ministry of Education's Compulsory Secondary Education qualification (ESO).

The British School Pozuelo de Alarcón is a day school for pupils aged 1 to 18. The curriculum combines the English National Curriculum with elements of the Spanish system and BiBac for ages 16–18. Founded in 1940, the school offers bilingual and bicultural education with British and Spanish teachers. The Pozuelo de Alarcón campus spans over 26,000 square metres and provides spaces for Early Years, Primary and Secondary. Facilities include El Teatro del Británico, a 1,200 m² theatre seating 300; five science laboratories opened in 2012 with electron microscopes and high-end chemical analysis equipment; an art wing; high‑tech music studios; and a band room. Each building houses a library; classrooms have interactive whiteboards; across the campus there are 3D printers and robotics equipment. BiBac results 2025 average 7.91 and PAU pass rate; IGCSE results 55% A*-A and 74% A*-B. After-school activities include Languages, Music, Public Speaking, Sports, Theatre and Dance.
