English is the language of instruction, with Spanish and Galician taught as subjects in both Primary and Secondary. Spanish (Lengua Castellana) and Galician (Lingua Gallega) follow Xunta de Galicia requirements, ensuring bilingual education. In Primary, Year 3 students can choose between French, German, or Chinese. The curriculum follows the United Kingdom plan with additional language study in Spanish/Galician, delivering bilingual education across the school.
Teaching is conducted in English, and students also learn Spanish and Galician. The school follows the British Curriculum and employs native, highly qualified teachers. In Primary, English, Spanish, and Galician are core components, supporting bilingual education. In Secondary, students prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Years 10–11, and from 2028–2029 they study the International Baccalaureate in the final two years.
British Royal School is a private secular school in Madrid offering education for ages 2 to 18. The curriculum follows the British National Curriculum, starting with the Early Years Foundation Stage and progressing through Cambridge IGCSE, with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme planned for final two years from 2028–2029. Instruction is conducted in English, while Spanish and Galician are taught as part of a bilingual program to meet regional requirements.
