Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Meres International School is a private school for students aged 3 to 18. The admissions policy sets out clear, fair criteria and procedures for information requests, pre-enrollment events, and admission, ensuring that students' skills and aptitudes align with the school's philosophy and standards so they can benefit from and contribute to school life. 2. The school accepts applications from all boys and girls and treats all applications equally regardless of sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, pregnancy or maternity, gender reassignment, disability, or social context; families must disclose allergies, medical conditions, and any special educational needs or disabilities on the Registration Form and may need to provide reports from psychologists, doctors, or educational plans. 3. If a pupil has a disability, the school will discuss reasonable accommodations with the family; exceptional circumstances may prevent offering a place if the child cannot access the education or safety for the child or others would be compromised. 4. 5. Visits are encouraged; an open day is held each term and private visits can be arranged. 6. After a visit, meeting and/or admissions tests, the school may offer a place; enrollment requires completing the Admissions Registration Form, signing the Parent Contract, and paying the non-refund¬able Registration Fee; confirmation is issued once documentation and fees are submitted. 7. If no places are available, the school may place the child on the waiting list; places are allocated based on factors such as siblings, prior academic results, order of application, and alumni status, with the school informing families within 48 hours of application; offers may be withdrawn in cases of fraudulent information. 8. Trial days are available to experience a typical day at school. 9. Admission to Pre-school Camp follows the same protocol as other courses and includes a social and emotional assessment. 10. Primary admissions include an academic assessment (written or oral) and a personal interview with the student and family, plus submission of reports from the last two years of previous schools. 11. Pupils must have functional knowledge of the school's languages of instruction; where necessary, families may need to support language learning. 12. The terms of education are set out in the Parental Agreement and the school maintains an admissions record in compliance with data protection laws, including the student's full name, gender, parent details, emergency contacts, birth date, admission date, and previous school information.
