Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Know yourself, accept yourself and improve yourself guides our approach to personal growth. Support is provided through a deep, ongoing relationship of support, dialogue and communication. Programs include affective-sexual training, sports training, the virtues program, career guidance, addiction prevention, bullying and eating disorders prevention, and family counseling. The community fosters respect, responsibility and collaboration, creating a nurturing and safe environment where each student can achieve their goals and develop fully.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

An interdisciplinary team includes specialists in Human Development, Psychopedagogical Guidance and Stage Coordination, who work with tutors to design an individualized Development Plan for each student to support intellectual and personal growth. Comprehensive personal support is provided to cultivate each learner's potential.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English immersion is provided from an early age. 100% of activities are in English from 4 months to 2 years, with native and bilingual teachers in each classroom to develop the affective-emotional bond in both languages. From 3 to 5 years old, 50% of activities are in English, alternating full days in English and Spanish. From age 5, students join the Cambridge International Primary programme, and by graduation they finish with a C1/C2 in English and a B1/B2 in French or German.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing is supported through the same personal development framework, including emotional education and a guidance team. The program includes continuous emotional development, with a focus on wellbeing alongside academic progress. Affective-sexual training, sport, the virtues program, career guidance, and family counseling contribute to holistic support for students' emotional health.

Safeguarding

A safe, values-based environment supports safeguarding through programs addressing addiction prevention, bullying and eating disorders, plus family counseling. The school also provides formation in faith with religious activities and leadership/service opportunities to nurture character and community responsibility.

English is the main language of instruction, with Infants offering 100% English immersion in the first cycle and Primaria combining the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum with the national program. The campus provides extensive facilities—45 classrooms, four chapels, a 250-seat auditorium, multiple sports venues including a semi-Olympic pool, and a range of science laboratories. Extra programs include the Cumbres Sports Club, a Summer Camp with Total English Immersion and native-speaking teachers, and Be Active Be True wellness initiatives.
