- Lower secondary (Klassen 5–8): Annual fee EUR 5,380.00; monthly instalment EUR 538.00 (September–June).
- Middle secondary (Klassen 9–10): Annual fee EUR 5,875.00; monthly instalment EUR 587.50 (September–June).
- Upper secondary (Klasse 11): Annual fee EUR 5,925.00; monthly instalment EUR 592.50 (September–June).
- Final year (Klasse 12): Annual fee EUR 5,925.00; monthly instalment EUR 658.33 (Abrechnungszeitraum: September–May).
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Regular tuition is collected in monthly instalments via SEPA direct debit. The regular monthly billing period is September through June for most year groups; Grade 12 is billed September through May. A one‑off annual payment by bank transfer is accepted as an alternative (annual payment typically due in August). The bank direct‑debit collection takes place each month (collection window noted in the school's billing information).
- Excursions and canteen vouchers are paid separately through the school payment portal.
Sibling discounts and reductions
- Schulgeld (tuition) sibling discounts: first sibling 10%, second sibling 20%, third and subsequent siblings 30%. These sibling discounts do not apply to Kindergarten tuition.
- For certain other fee categories a different sibling discount schedule is noted in the fee regulations (see fee schedule footnotes).
Other fees and recurring charges
- Nutzungsgebühr digitale Medien (digital media usage fee): EUR 19.00 per month (September–June).
- Mensa (canteen): billed monthly (September–June); specific meal-pricing and canteen voucher details are listed in the school's catering information and payment portal. Excursions and canteen vouchers are charged via the payment portal.
- Frühbetreuung (early care): billed monthly (October–June); specific rates are published in the relevant brochure.
- Außerschulische Aktivitäten (extracurricular activities): billed half‑yearly (December and March); individual activity rates are published in the activity brochure.
- SpaF (Spanisch als Fremdsprache): billed half‑yearly (October and February); rates appear in the SpaF information.
- Musikschule (music school): billed quarterly (November, February, May); specific lesson fees are set in the music programme information.
- Bücher, Lizenzen, Sportkleidung: one‑off charge billed in October; amounts depend on year group and are specified in the corresponding brochures.
- Schulverein (annual school association fee): EUR 40.00 (charged in December).
- Ergänzungsfächer (supplementary subjects): EUR 50.00 per semester (charged November and February) from the third supplementary subject onward.
Refund information
- The deposited Kaution (deposit) is refunded on pupil exit provided there are no outstanding claims against the family.
- Refunds, adjustments or reductions for temporary absences, approved leave, or special circumstances are subject to the school's fee regulations and require approval by school administration.
Boarding / residential provision
- Boarding is not part of the school's programme; there are no boarding fees. The school operates as a day school for Kindergarten through Gymnasium.
Accepted payment methods and practical payment notes
- Primary payment method: SEPA direct debit (monthly collection). An annual one‑off bank transfer is accepted as an alternative. Excursions and canteen voucher purchases are processed through the school payment portal. No general credit‑card payment option is listed for regular tuition. Notes on additional costs
- Some supplementary programmes and services (e.g., SpaF, music lessons, extracurriculars, books, licences, sports clothing) have separate published rates; these are billed according to the schedules above (monthly, half‑yearly, quarterly or once yearly) and are itemised on the school's published fee materials and brochures. Excursions and canteen vouchers are typically charged via the school payment portal at the time of booking or use.
Deutsche Schule Valencia is a German international school in Valencia, Spain, offering a bespoke curriculum for ages 3–18. The school guides students from Kindergarten through Gymnasium (grades 5–12) toward the German International Abitur (DIA) with a staged approach: Orientation Phase emphasizes settling in, middle years deepen subject work and personal development, and final years focus on Abitur preparation and career orientation.
