Parent-Teacher Association

The German School Valencia is carried by the German School Association. This non‑profit association provides the legal and organizational framework for the school. It ensures long-term development, financial stability, and supports the pedagogical work. Tasks of the School Association include: the strategic and economic orientation of the school; investments in buildings, equipment, and modernization; promotion of projects that enrich learning and school life; and cooperation with German and Spanish partner institutions. Thus the association contributes decisively to keeping the German School Valencia as a future‑proof German international school. The Board is elected by the members of the German School Association. It implements the resolutions of the general assembly and works closely with the school leadership and the school community. Members serve on a voluntary basis and bring their experience and expertise to the association's leadership. Current board members are: Chairman: Carsten Pluns; Deputy Chairman: Fernando Simó Teufel; Secretary: Ingo Sodenkamp; Treasurer: Dr. Víctor M. Olmos de León; Board member: Carmen Küster; Board member: Begoña Aranda; Board member: Antonio J. Ortín López; Board member: Marisol Fito Suñer; Board member: Elisa Valía Cotanda; Board member: Prof. Dr. José Vicente Oliver. Membership and participation: Membership in the German School Association is voluntary. Parents and interested individuals can join and pay an annual membership fee. By joining, they directly support the school's development and can participate in the annual general meeting and influence decisions. Registration: The enrollment form is available at the school's secretariat or as a download on our website.
