Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

From infancy through Bachillerato, Edelweiss School provides a continuous educational path in Valencia, with each stage representing an ascent in learning. A 2-year-old classroom introduces English at an early age, and teachers communicate with students in English to support phonetic and oral understanding. In Educación Infantil and Primaria, English is embedded, with about 60% of classes taught in English and French introduced as an optional third language, supported by cooperative work and project-based learning and early Christian faith formation. In Educación Secundaria, languages are consolidated with Cambridge exam preparation and an international exchange program, while Bachillerato emphasizes advanced study, English proficiency (many students reach Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency), small-group university-preparation work, and continued faith formation.

Arts and Creative

All extracurricular activities occur on campus and follow Edelweiss School's educational project. Activities run from October to May within the school facilities, with some sports schedules extending into after-school time. Qualified staff coordinate each activity to ensure professionalism and student engagement. Offerings include sports (basketball, football, judo, tennis, volleyball), arts and crafts, choir, and language and digital skills such as French, chess, and computing, with additional options like ballet and modern dance guided by specialists.

Cultural and Language

The school operates as a bilingual English–Spanish institution with native and bilingual professionals. In Educación Primaria, 60% of classes are taught in English, with French introduced as a third language (optional). Educación Secundaria includes Cambridge exam preparation and an international exchange program, supporting language development across the curriculum. In higher grades, French is offered as an additional language, and the school supports language learning through project-based and immersive approaches.

Social and Hobbies

Extracurricular activities foster social skills, teamwork, and a sense of belonging through sports, arts, music, and digital-literate clubs. Students have opportunities to participate in team sports, choir, and arts activities, as well as clubs that promote critical thinking and creativity through English-language contexts.

Leadership and Professional

Leadership development is encouraged through activities such as Debate Club in Secondary and group-work that nurtures responsibility and initiative. The school provides examination and university-preparation pathways, including Cambridge exam preparation and PAU orientation, with tutoring and parental-student meetings to support leadership and lifelong learning. Collaboration with families through regular tutoría sessions helps students reflect on their progress and goals.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The campus features extensive outdoor spaces, including a large garden and 6 sports facilities, plus an outdoor swimming pool for physical education in warmer months and a student-managed garden. The school offers extended-hours services (morning and after-school care) to accommodate families, with additional activities available through its Summer School and on-site programs.
