It is a private center dependent on the Generalitat Valenciana's Department of Education, and is fully integrated into the Spanish education system. The leadership team currently consists of the third generation of the founding family. Founded by Francisca Ruiz and Julia Casado as a kindergarten in Valencia, Edelweiss introduced English instruction early, moved to Campolivar (Godella) and grew, and later expanded to include ESO and Bachillerato. The school specializes in English language education, and many graduates achieve Cambridge levels C1/C2.
The school operates with a bilingual English–Spanish model delivered by native or bilingual teachers. It is founded by families and maintains close ties with families, with Catholic values and a culture of effort and learning. The campus features an expansive outdoor environment of about 15,000 square meters, six sports pitches, an outdoor swimming pool for physical education and Summer School, and a school garden. Alumni engagement is active, with events and features such as a talk by Pablo Andújar to Secondary and Bachillerato students, and interviews with former students from recent graduating classes.
Parent involvement is organized through the Zona Familias hub, which provides quick-access links and apps for daily school life. BatOnRouteNotifies absences when students use the bus route; there is also notice for out-of-hours pickups via forms. The school runs Escuela de Padres (Parents School) sessions to keep parents informed, with past sessions available on YouTube. Google Classroom and the Alexia platform give parents access to class materials, notices, and the school store, and the academic calendar is published for families.
