Enrichment program includes Applied Cooking for Well-being. It fosters a healthy relationship with food and develops the ability to understand nutrition and make informed eating choices. It features tasting and explanations of foods (nutritional properties, food groups, and ways of cooking), and the preparation of recipes, including a personal recipe notebook. There are visits with farmers, nutritionists, and fishermen, and excursions to farms, kitchens, and gardens to support practical understanding of food sources.
Fine Arts for kids is a favorite activity where children learn basic techniques across disciplines, drawing on different surfaces, sculpting, modeling, and clothing design. Music and Fun introduces music to help children develop motor skills through singing and movement, while fostering concentration, creativity, memory, and teamwork. Piano teaches basic chords, reading musical notation, rhythms, and coordination.
The school has native bilingual faculty with at least one native English speaker and one native Spanish speaker to ensure quality language learning. Patinaje and Parkour provide dynamic physical training to improve balance, coordination, and flexibility, while Yoga adults offers mindfulness and relaxation benefits for parents.
Greenleaves Montessori American School is a private, secular international school in Madrid that blends Montessori pedagogy with an American curriculum and the IB framework.
