Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Request a Visit. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore our facilities and the learning environments for each educational stage. We will answer questions about our educational model and curriculum. Applications are submitted online and can be completed at any time for the current academic year or future years; the placement process for the upcoming academic year begins in March, with priority given to currently enrolled students and then to new applicants; depending on availability, new students may be admitted after the school year has started.
2. After the visit, we will send you a link via email to submit your application for a place. The link leads to our online application form and can be used to apply for the current academic year or future years. You can complete the form at your convenience. Submitting early improves your chances.
3. Once the application is submitted, you will receive a new link to complete the pre-enrollment process. Primary and Elementary students may be invited to meet their teacher and spend time in the classroom. End-of-year school reports from the past two academic years will be requested (in English or Spanish) if your child has previously attended school. A copy of the current academic year's reports, along with IDs for the parent/guardian and the student, will be required.
4. The school will then send a welcome email from IMS International Montessori School, along with confirmation of place availability. The email provides next steps and enrollment instructions. You should review the information carefully and ensure you understand any conditions tied to securing the place.
5. Final step: reception of all required documentation and payment of the enrollment fee. Please ensure all documents are submitted in the requested format and by any deadlines provided. After payment, you will receive confirmation of enrollment.

International Montessori School Sotogrande offers a bilingual, child-centered education in a welcoming Andalusia setting. The school follows a Montessori curriculum across four stages: Nido (0–18 months), Infant Community (18 months–3 years), Children's House (3–6 years), and Lower and Upper Elementary (6–12 years). Accredited by NEASC and AMI and authorized by Junta de Andalucía, IMS combines Montessori practice with international standards and local requirements. Students learn through hands-on, project-based exploration in math, language, science, art, and history, with instruction delivered in English and Spanish. Classrooms are prepared environments guided by trained Montessori professionals, fostering autonomy, collaboration, and social responsibility. The campus supports wellbeing with yoga, mindfulness, and emotional education, and offers on-site pediatric care via KidsCare. Monthly Learning Walks connect classroom topics to the real world; weekly updates and periodic parent meetings strengthen home–school partnership. A Rainbow Team and diverse after-school offerings ensure inclusive learning and holistic development for every child.
