Languages of instruction are Spanish and English. German and French are optional second languages from 4th/5th grade and continue through Secondary. Mandarin Chinese is introduced playfully from the second cycle of Early Education and continues as an extracurricular activity. The Languages Academy offers English, German, French, Italian, Valencian, and Spanish for foreigners with levels from Pre-A1 to C2, aligned to the CEFR, and certificates including Cambridge English (YLE through C2), Goethe-Institut, DELF/DALF, DELE, and Mitjà.
Spanish and English are the vehicle languages of instruction. From Early Education, there is rich, progressive exposure to both languages across subjects, with functional use in different areas of knowledge to develop communicative competence naturally, in context, and meaningfully. In Secondary and Bachillerato, written production, comprehension of academic texts, and argumentation (including the IB's Theory of Knowledge essay) are reinforced.
International School El Valle Alicante delivers a complete International Baccalaureate continuum for ages 3 to 18, with PYP, MYP, and DP authorized to be taught in an integrated progression from early years to university entry. Curricular adaptation to Spanish legislation provides official recognition that allows students to access Spanish universities and obtain the Spanish Bachillerato diploma alongside the IB Diploma. The program emphasizes languages, critical thinking, autonomy, emotional management, and a profile grounded in IB values such as respect, commitment, excellence, and personal growth. The campus includes a heated swimming pool, air conditioning and heating in all classrooms, a school library, sports courts, a covered pavilion, an auditorium, a media room, laboratories, and a music room. Dining is in a dedicated dining room with its own kitchen. Nursery, transport, a psycho-pedagogical office, and a medical office support well-being and family life. An extracurricular program includes robotics, theatre, violin, and bilingual education.
