International School of Madrid (ISM) is a British international school founded in 1971, located in the Chamartín district of Madrid. It educates over 800 pupils aged 2–18, from early years to Sixth Form. ISM follows the English National Curriculum, with EYFS, Key Stage 3–4, IGCSE at the end of Year 11 and British A Levels in Sixth Form. A French Curriculum is also offered, while Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge A Levels feature in its syllabus. Spanish language and Cultura Española are taught to meet local requirements, accounting for around 20% of curriculum time. The school operates a Primary site and a Secondary site. Facilities include science laboratories, computer suites and art studios, plus a large sports hall and access to pitches and tracks for swimming, athletics and games. Extracurriculars include a house system, drama performances, Booster Classes, Robotics and Chess, plus Storytelling & Book Club and other activities supporting leadership.
