Facilities Overview

Julio Verne School sits on a plot of about 40,000 m2, of which around 12,000 m2 are buildings and the rest are playgrounds, sports areas, gardens, student entrances and exits, and family parking. Each classroom has a digital whiteboard, projector, and speakers, or a Smart TV, with Internet connectivity, providing multimedia tools for teaching and learning. The primary, secondary and baccalaureate building has a domotics system with four basic functions: energy control, comfort, safety and telecommunications. The Infant building is fully climate-controlled, with both heating and air conditioning for a high level of comfort. The center has facilities suitable for sports practice.

Sports Facilities

An 11-a-side football field with artificial turf meets the school's needs for Physical Education. Three basketball courts have lines and equipment to support other sports, such as hockey, volleyball and handball. Two paddle courts are available for the school program and for rental, and a swimming pool is used in Physical Education and in the summer program. A skating rink is used at midday and in the skating workshop, and a covered gym provides space for activities requiring specialised equipment. A psychomotricity room is located in the infant pavilion; common spaces include showers and changing rooms.

Academic Facilities

Three laboratories are available: Chemistry and Biology, Physics and Technology, and a Technology Workshop. There are dedicated spaces for Art and Design and for Music, plus a Creativity Lab that also functions as a library. The STEAM Classroom is equipped with a 3D printer, laser cutter, robotics and programming tools. Additional spaces include split-classrooms, an assembly hall and an infirmary.
