Mirasur School is an International Baccalaureate World School. The IB Programme is fully integrated into the Spanish national curriculum and strengthens critical thinking, autonomy, analytical skills and an open-minded outlook. The IB fosters international mindedness, challenges students to ask questions, develop research skills and learn how to learn, and includes community service. Spanish is the main language of instruction with strong English immersion and students complete English certifications through Cambridge examinations.
Arts & Music Club develops creativity and artistic skills, offering piano, guitar, theatre, dance, fine arts, storytelling and more. Students showcase their talents through performances and exhibitions, building confidence and self-esteem.
Language learning is promoted through a Language School offering English, German and French with a playful methodology, and speech therapy for language challenges. The school also operates bilingual education with Spanish as the main language of instruction alongside English immersion.
Sport Activities include Football, Football Technification, Basketball, Padel, Swimming, Martial Arts (Judo, Taekwondo, Karate), volleyball and gymnastics. The Mirasur Sports Club provides a campus sports center with facilities and a swimming pool, with membership options for families.
Through Mirasur Solidario, the school NGO, the community participates in charitable initiatives that raise thousands of euros for childhood cancer research. The school collaborates with Mensajeros de la Paz, the Food Bank and other social organisations to engage students in social responsibility.
Debate Club in Secondary develops verbal and non-verbal communication, argumentation and refutation, fostering leadership and public-speaking skills.
Wellbeing is a priority with a focus on physical and emotional health. The school provides a Welfare Coordinator and a Guidance Team with three counsellors, supports for adaptation and conflict resolution, and involvement of families. Cognita child protection policies apply, and Learning Support offers monitoring and curricular adaptations to meet individual needs.
