Richmond Park School opened in September 2019 in a residential area north of Madrid, offering a British education from pre-nursery to Year 6. Key Stage Three was authorised in 2020, and the first Year 10 cohort was admitted in September 2022. The secondary school facilities were new at the time of inspection, with modern classrooms, science laboratories, a theatre and a sports centre to support a growing pupil body. The school draws students from other international and Spanish schools; there were 109 students in Years 7–10 in October 2022, with intake expected to grow to three classes per year.
There is a busy programme of extra-curricular activities, before and after school and at lunchtime, including breakfast club, football and swimming, with inter-house and inter-school fixtures to encourage teamwork. External speakers regularly lead assemblies and PSHE activities, and a Student Council in the secondary school gives students a voice, with two representatives per year group who help organise charity fundraising events. Residential trips such as Year 8 geography and science visits to Gredos broaden learning beyond the classroom. The school also runs community events such as the Christmas Market which has raised funds for VIPEIKA.
