Languages taught include English (principal language of instruction; English language and literature taught in English; Cambridge UCLES examinations are offered on site). French is the second foreign language, with DELF examinations (A1, A2/B1, B2) and preparation for higher levels; English examination pathways include UCLES. Spanish and Catalan are taught as language subjects; in Primary three hours per week for each, and in Secondary they continue as language subjects alongside English and French.
Saint George's School provides a bilingual education in English from Infants to Sixth Form. English is the principal language used in the teaching-learning process, with immersion in English led by English-speaking teachers. Pupils study four languages as part of the programme. French is taught as a second foreign language, while Spanish and Catalan are taught as language subjects.
Infant Education uses daily English linguistic immersion, with the child living and learning in English in most areas (one Catalan language class aside). Primary Education teaches all subjects in English, with Spanish and Catalan taught three hours per week; French is introduced in the final year of Primary. Secondary Education maintains English immersion, while in Secondary 3 and 4 some subjects are taught in Spanish/Catalan to prepare for further education; French continues as a second foreign language. In Baccalaureate, English is used for English language and literature, while other subjects are taught in Spanish/Catalan, and Spanish and French continue as language subjects.
Saint George's School – Girona is a private day school for pupils aged 1 to 18, on a 20,000 square metre campus near Girona. Founded in 1988, it has grown to about 700 students taught across three buildings: Infants, Primary/Secondary, and the Baccalaureate Building. The curriculum follows a British framework with SEN‑focused, bespoke approaches. English is the principal language of teaching and learning, with immersion from early years. In Primary, all subjects are taught in English, with Catalan, Spanish and French taught regularly. In Secondary, English immersion continues; in Years 3–4 some subjects are taught in Spanish or Catalan to aid higher education preparation, and French remains a second foreign language. Cambridge UCLES examinations are offered and the school hosts DELF certificates. The campus includes a library, ICT, music, art, technology rooms, science labs, an indoor pool and a gym, plus extensive outdoor spaces such as forests, gardens, an astro-turf football pitch and courts.
