Santo Angel British School opened in September 2015 on the site of its Spanish sister school, Colegio Santo Angel. Both schools are privately owned by Laurentino Galán. The British school is currently authorised from nursery to year 9 and has about 200 pupils on roll, with 95% Spanish and five other nationalities represented. Expansion into Key Stage 4 (years 10 and 11) is planned.
Pupils behave well around school and are interested in their work. They feel cared for by their teachers and enjoy school. Positive relationships are at the heart of pupil experiences and a strong sense of community permeates the school. Pupils are free from bullying and feel listened to; they are confident and encouraged to participate actively in lessons.
Santo Ángel British School, located in the Moratalaz district of Madrid, delivers the British National Curriculum for children from Pre-Nursery up to Year 12. Originally opened in 1968 and formally adopting the British framework in 2015, the campus accommodates around 200 pupils in a co-educational day setting. Core instruction is provided in English, supplemented by Spanish and German language subjects. The school is defined by its signature "I CARE Values" program and the "Excellence in Education" initiative, which actively focus on character development, international mindedness, and physical health alongside core subjects. On-site services include a dedicated School Psychology Department, a professionally supervised dining menu, and optional transport routes. Students have access to concrete extracurricular options ranging from robotics and chess to classical ballet, violin, and gymnastics, allowing them to pursue specific interests outside standard classroom hours.
