Scope and payment format (applies to both sections)
- Tuition and most recurring charges are published as annual amounts. The school permits three payment schedules: annual, semestral (due 15 September and 15 February) or monthly (10 payments: August through May). Per-term (semestral) and per-month amounts below are calculated from the published annual amounts (semestral = annual ÷ 2; monthly = annual ÷ 10).

Admissions and one-off fees (applies to both sections)
- Registration fee (cuota de inscripción): EUR 360. Payment due on submission of the application form. This fee is refunded if the school cannot offer a place. Each additional sibling: EUR 60.
- Enrollment fee / Matrícula: EUR 500. Single payment per family due to confirm a place. Non‑refundable.
- Deposit: EUR 500. Paid when a place is confirmed; charged per sibling. Refundable within 60 days after the pupil leaves, provided there are no outstanding debts.
- Association membership fee (cuota de socio): EUR 10 per school year and per family (applies where specified). Reservation of place fee: EUR 500 (refundable if the pupil continues in September of the following school year when paid by direct debit at the indicated time).

- Förskoleklass – Årskurs 1–3 — Annual tuition: EUR 7,768. Semestral: EUR 3,884. Monthly: EUR 776.80.
- Årskurs 4–6 — Annual tuition: EUR 7,870. Semestral: EUR 3,935. Monthly: EUR 787.00.

Material and activity fees
- Educational materials (annual): Preschool / Förskolan: EUR 200; Other year groups: EUR 300. These cover the main cost of textbooks, workbooks and school materials. These fees are annual and non‑refundable if the pupil leaves during the course; textbooks remain school property.
- Excursions / visitas (annual): Förskoleklass – Gymnasiet / Year 1 – Year 13: EUR 85 billed by direct debit on 15 September. This covers regular excursions and museum visits (end‑of‑year trips are not included).

School meals (comida)
- Scandinavian section:
- Förskolan: EUR 1,018 per year (billing options: annual, semestral 15/9 & 15/2, or monthly over 10 payments; charged by whole month).
- Förskoleklass – Åk 6: EUR 1,151 per year.
- Åk 7 – Gymnasiet: EUR 1,178 per year.
- International section:
- Preschool: EUR 1,018 per year.
- Year 1–6: EUR 1,151 per year.
- Secondary: EUR 1,178 per year.
- Pupils who bring their own food: EUR 175 per year. Single meal (guest coupon) price: Scandinavian section EUR 7; International section EUR 7 (as listed).

School transport (route) — annual fees and options
- Scandinavian section (examples of annual rates shown): Madrid round trip: EUR 2,055; Madrid one‑way: EUR 1,335. Moraleja round trip: EUR 1,424; Moraleja one‑way: EUR 926. One‑trip coupon prices: EUR 6–8 depending on route. The route fee is billed annually, semestrally or monthly (10 payments) and charged by whole months; the third (and subsequent) child on the same route receives a 50% discount.
- International section lists the same route prices and billing treatment.

Extended hours / after‑school care
- Extended-hours monthly fees (registration is binding for the entire school year; payments by direct debit every two months; no refund if leaving mid‑month):
- Morning 8:15–9:00: 5 days/week EUR 55; 3 days/week EUR 40.
- Afternoon 15:50–17:00: 5 days/week EUR 84; 3 days/week EUR 63.
- Morning + afternoon combined: 5 days/week EUR 130; 3 days/week EUR 100.
- Single coupons: morning EUR 5; afternoon EUR 8 (where available).

English as an Additional Language (EAL) / language support
- EAL Immersion (intensive program): EUR 300 per month.
- EAL Intensive: EUR 190 per month.
- EAL Support: EUR 115 per month. These programs are offered when the school judges language support is required for the pupil to access the curriculum.

Exam and assessment fees
- Cambridge Checkpoint (Year 6): EUR 42 per subject (invoiced in May).
- Cambridge Checkpoint (Year 9): EUR 73 per subject.
- IGCSE: EUR 312 (full) or EUR 156 per subject (Coordinated Science and other subject breakdowns apply).
- AS / A‑Levels: EUR 182 per subject (AS) and EUR 312 per subject (A2/A‑Level) (specific invoicing and subject rules apply). Extra charges may apply for homologation, credentials or apostilles and for UNED credentialing where required. Exam charges are invoiced at specified times (see exam schedule).

Consequences of late or missed payments and penalties
- If any fee from the previous semester remains unpaid, the pupil will not be permitted to return the following semester without written authorisation from the school and the place may be reassigned. Late payment of optional services (canteen, bus, extracurriculars) may result in interruption of those services. Returned direct debit / bank charge penalties are charged to the family.

Billing calendar and invoicing notes
- The school publishes a billing calendar showing which concepts are invoiced in each month; recurring items such as tuition, meals, route, extended hours, EAL and extracurriculars are listed across August–June. Specific exam, credentialing and reservation charges appear in the months indicated. Semestral due dates are 15 September and 15 February for items billed semestrally. Some single‑item charges (e.g., excursions, exam fees, reservation) are invoiced in the months shown on the billing calendar.

Refunds and non‑refundable items
- Registration fee (EUR 360) is refundable if no place can be offered. Enrollment fee / matrícula (EUR 500) is non‑refundable. The deposit (EUR 500) is refundable within 60 days after the pupil leaves provided there are no outstanding debts. Material fees and excursion fees are not refunded if a pupil leaves during the course. Reservation-of‑place payments are refundable under the conditions stated in the admission documents.

Boarding / residential provision
- The school does not list any boarding or residential provision and no boarding fees are published. Transport, meals and extended hours are offered as optional paid services.

Accepted payment methods and administrative instructions
- The school uses direct debit (domiciliación bancaria) for recurring charges and specifies direct‑debit dates for various fees. The school accepts childcare vouchers / cafeteria cheques such as SODEXO, ACCOR, EDUCAINFANTIL for payment where applicable. Parents are instructed to include the pupil's name in the payment concept when making application payments. Scandinavian School of Madrid is a Swedish international day school serving children from 18 months to 18 years. The school operates two sections: a Swedish section where instruction is in Swedish and an International section where instruction is in English. The International section follows the Cambridge curriculum, with preschool through secondary education and a Sixth Form offering Cambridge A-Levels. Cambridge Checkpoints are taken at the end of Year 6 and IGCSE at the end of Year 11. Founded in 1944, the school is a non-profit association of parents and a 400-student community with high teacher density. Music is a feature since 2011, with lessons and concerts that foster community. A courtyard supports activities, and the day allows after-school clubs.
