St. Anne's School is a co-educational British Catholic independent day school in Madrid for ages 0–18. Founded in 1969 by Miss Margaret Jean Raines, it sits on Avenida Alfonso XIII, Chamartín. The curriculum follows the British National Curriculum with an emphasis on Spanish language and culture and Catholic identity. Early Years is based on the EYFS; in secondary years students prep for Cambridge IGCSE and, in the Sixth Form, pursue International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme over two years. The Diploma requires six subjects (three HL, three SL) plus Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity and Service. All teaching is by qualified British staff, and governance uses a Principal, Heads of Primary and Secondary, and subject coordinators. St. Anne's is a founder member of NABSS and is inspected by NABSS and the Spanish Ministry of Education. Facilities include internet-enabled classrooms and laboratories, sports, arts, language offerings and after-school activities.
